Update on Harley and Dylan

The boys new owners rang me the other day saying the boys were doing really well in there new home. They've been groomed now and she has sent me some photos of them in their new home. It's nice knowing the 2 little boys that took so long to find their forever home are now settled in there and happy with their new owner.

And after their hair cuts looking all smart and cute together

Apologies again

Sorry for the lack of updates again. The past week I've been working at a playscheme for autistic children and by the time I get home I'm knackered so yeah sorry about that. Tinks is still with us and had her stitches out on Thursday so is all pretty much back to normal.

Tinks is starting to become such a loyal dog. My dad stupidly locked her out of the front door the other day when she sneaked out while he was putting bottles out and 15 minutes later when he realised she was still sat on the front step waiting patiently to be let back in. Tinks has also being let off her lead in the fields with Sally and like Sally she wouldn't run far at all and when she did she'd come speeding back. So now we have gained her trust and what a well behaved little girl she is. Can't believe she's still with us.

Thats all for now really, will add more pictures lately,

My Little Shadow

So Tinks is back on the road to recovery. Still a little slow on the steps but her ears are back sticking up and shes much happier. We went to the vets today and other than her wound been a little red its looking good and then her stitches are due to come out a week today.

She's taken into the role of being my little shadow and follows me just about everywhere, she'll sit with me on the sofa, lay in bed with me, follow me around the house. She's grown into such a loyal dog and would be a great companion to anyone once she's got used to you and is all settled in. She loves spending time outside, going for long walks and as I've said before playing football with Sally. She doesn't understand she shouldn't be running about with her stitches in because thats what she loves doing.

So heres some pictures of Tinks on her own and with Sally on the sofa :)

Poor Girl

So Tinks came back from the vets the other day all drugged up. The operation went well and Tinks has now being spayed. Other than being a little moangy and a bit sore, she's good. She's been much quieter than normal... not like thats possible and keeps having her ears down but pretty sure it will heal well and she'll be back to herself in no time. She is such a beautiful dog who loves her cuddles. She's always very wary of sitting on the sofa with me but if I sit on the floor she'll come and lay next to me and roll over to get her belly rubbed. Okay so maybe I am falling for her a little bit but I refuse to get attached, even if my dad already is, lol.

Anyway that's all for now, Tinks has to visit the vets tomorrow for a check up then the stitches will be out next Thursday :)

See Her - Fall in Love with her

Tinks has definitely made an impact in our house. I came home yesterday and my dads first words to me was Tinks is so lovely... lets swap her for Sally. Sally is totally my dads dog, and even though it was a joke it shocked me that he said it because he's always gone all protective of her if I joke about it. Don't get me wrong we would never swap Sally, shes been with us since she was a pup and she's made our family complete, as much as we joke we love the scruffy girl to bits. He then went on to say how happy she was when he got home from work. She does give the best greetings, she jumps up, gives you a kiss then rolls over to let you rub her tummy.

Poor Tinks was left for nearly the full day yesterday while I was at work then doing a transport run for the rescue but she behaved so well and apparently only had one accident which I guess is expected for the length of time we left her. Apparently she ran outside when my dad came back looking really guilty and scared and wouldn't come in till my dad gave her a cuddle. Poor girl. Other than that though theres been no accidents even though we was told she needed a routine first but sees like she's fine here.

Tinks has been very well trained and won't go on furniture unless asked and does like to sleep in her basket at night if you don't offer her to come up onto the bed. She's such a well behaved beautiful dog and is already reaching the top of my favourite foster dog list... Shh don't tell the old fosters that. haha. No I've loved them all but some have pulled my heart strings more, not going to lie.

Oh forgot to mention Tinks is currently at the vet being spayed :( I already miss her and shes not even been here a week. Have a feeling she'll be feeling sorry for herself for a while, especially when I bless her with the cone of shame xD Big cuddles for her tonight and I'll post either later today or tomorrow.

Tinks Pictures

So here are the photos as promised, theres quite a few so thought I'd do a new post for them instead of adding them to the last one:

"Hi I'm Tinks, I'm looking for a new home, can you really resist my beautiful smile?"

"I can run really fast... do you want to play tig with me?"
"I love to play football with Sally, she's one crazy dog but I kind of like her, it's nice having another doggy friend around."
"I've had a busy day now let me sleep"

"What do you want? I'm trying to play with my ball here"

I'm Ill = Lack of Updates

Yep, sorry about that. Come down with a really bad cold and being kinda busy with Tinks and work and what not. Anyway Tinks arrived the other day and what a quiet young girl she is. Considering she has jack russel in her she doesn't act like one at all and I've only just heard her bark today. I'm unsure of what she is crossed with to be honest, maybe you could post your suggestions because at the moment, as I've said before, she's just part Yoda. Tinks is a young girl, only 20 months old, and she is very shy. Her old owners only had her a couple of months and didn't know her history but she is very wary around new people and doesn't like it if you raise your voice - I haven't by the way, my dad just talks very loud. Once she's got to know you though she'll follow you around like a little shadow and will cuddle up to you in bed.

Tinks is okay being left for a few hours at a time, haven't left her any longer yet but she's not being destructive and appears to be fully housetrained. When I've come back home though she'll greet you so happily and will jump up to get some attention. However I think Tinks would need another doggy friend if she's to be left just to keep her company and make her feel like she hasn't totally being abandoned as in her old home, where there was no other dogs, she didn't like being left . She's really good with Sally, and isn't phased by her when she barks. Sally isn't even bothered by her and loves to play football with her in the garden. I've already caught a video of these 2 together the first day she was here. She was really in her element in the garden and looks so happy and confident. I think Tinks would be best with a large secure garden in her new home so she can run and play. Tinks also loves her walks and walks very well on the lead and doesn't pull unless she sees a cat... think thats the jack russel in her lol.

Tinks does need some basic training still, she does respond to her name however can get distracted. I don't think it would be best to let her off lead until this has been improved and shes settled with you. I'll add pictures later when my camera decides to reappear :)

Poodles gone!

So the poodles have just been rehomed to a lovely woman who will be a perfect owner for the pair of them and was only concerned whether they'd settle in okay with her. Going to miss the pair so much, their definitely little characters and I also hope they'll settle in well.

So whos next? A little jack russel cross called Tinks. She sounds like she'd make the perfect family dog and has the biggest ears for her size which is why... before she's even arrived here, she's picked up the name Yoda (Thanks Rebecca). Well can't really say much else on her really until she arrives later today. Ooh i do have a picture though that I will share in advance to her arrival in an hour or so time.

Well for now it's just me and Sally, will update again later when Tinks has made her appearance :) x

Great News

Well yesterday the boys had a viewing finally. After getting a little lost and me having to meet them so they could follow me to mine that is... Really need to improve my direction giving, haha. The woman came very prepared with lots of questions and to me thats always a good sign. Anyway they were both on their very best behaviour and she seemed to love the 2 of them. She was a lovely woman and has today said she will adopt the boys. I can't even describe how happy I am for these 2. They've been with me the longest and I have no idea why. But in the end its all turned out for the best, they are going to a lovely home with an experienced dog lover. Best of all they are going together so can comfort each other when they move.

I'll post when they've left us and tell you of the next foster dog planned for me.
