I'm pretty sure these boys get closer every day. I'm sure Harley is starting to get less jealous of Dylan and doesn't growl at him when he gives me attention as much now. He's also started getting into moods where he really wants to play with Dylan and goes for his legs which is exactly what my mums poodles do. And they both seem to be cuddled up to each other more now. And occasionally give each other a kiss. Thats why I do hope when the time comes they get a home together cause it will break my heart to separate them. I do think they'd both be fine though. They are total opposites to be honest. Harley is the loud, bossy, bold one and Dylan is the timid, quiet one who just barks when Harley does. Together though they make such a lovely pair.
I do love these twos cuddles so much. Last night Harley curled up next to me in bed and fell fast asleep there. I think they'll need to go to a home who will let them sleep on the bed because thats where they get comfort from. Dylan even wants to go to bed when I'm not around and this morning when I was getting dressed for work looked at me as if to say "Come back to bed". They do seem to get a little cuter and cuddlier every day. I don't understand what more a person could want from this pair.
Harley and Dylan are eating very well now and Harley has started eating dry biscuits during the day when they are out not just with his tea. They were used to just being fed chappie which is not the best for their health and was the reason for their bad teeth and Dylans anal infection. They are now on healthy dog food, alternating between salmon mousse and chicken and veg dog food. I am trying to get them eating dry biscuits as well as I said by mixing it in. Dylan isn't a big fan but will eat it with wet food. I have tried soaking biscuits up in water first which did work while their gums healed after the dental but they are fine. They like it both ways and yesterday we had 2 empty bowls, although I'm not sure if this is Sally stealing their food after they've finished. Haha. My aim is to continue fattening Harley up because he is a little skinny but he does eat and I think its just the way he his not on their previous lifestyle as Dylan is a healthy weight. I am also giving them dentasticks to get them chewing more and prevent any further gum disease/ dental issues.
